Undergraduate degrees
Undergraduate programs establish a disciplinary foundation in science, engineering or management. Applicants need to select the applicable domestic or international admission route and understand the relevant academic entry qualifications. The international undergraduate scholarship process has a 2027 application window of 25 October 2026 to 31 March 2027.
Research master’s and doctoral degrees
Research degrees are organized through academic disciplines and their graduate regulations. Program selection may involve a research background, preparation for a supervisor relationship and evidence of language proficiency. The international college publishes the corresponding degree and funding routes separately.
Management and professional qualifications
The School of Management offers academic management disciplines and professional programs including MBA and EMBA. The MBA has a defined 2025 training plan with four specializations and its own credits and duration; that curriculum cannot substitute for an application notice.
International applicants
Degree-level rules, scholarship eligibility and immigration requirements are separate aspects of entry. The International College publishes international admission instructions, while some scholarship categories require an additional CSC submission. The application record belongs in the official portal.
Admission routes and program requirements
Admissions | Admission routes and program requirements
Admissions at a research university involve separate decisions about eligibility, program fit, funding and formal submission. Domestic undergraduate routes, domestic graduate routes and international degree applications use different institutional channels. Applicants can narrow their search by degree level, academic subject, language of instruction and intended research area. The online submission system, rather than an informational website, is the place where an application formally enters the admission process.
Degree routes and the 2027 international intake
Applicants enter USTC through distinct undergraduate, graduate, professional and international procedures. The International College publishes separate 2027 notices for undergraduate fellowships and graduate funding; the standard degree application is not interchangeable with a scholarship record.
Applicants to professional management programs must use the program’s stated route rather than assuming the international research-degree pathway applies to every qualification.
