Graduate study and the 2027 funding calendar
Research preparation
Master’s and doctoral applicants select a discipline and examine its graduate research environment. Evidence of prior study, research experience, academic writing and any required language qualification may be relevant to graduate assessment.
Professional versus research degrees

CSC Type B graduate scholarship
For the 2027 intake, USTC publishes a CSC Type B master’s/doctoral application window running from 25 October 2026 through 20 January 2027. This includes submission through USTC’s application system and the corresponding CSC procedure.
Funding distinctions
The university identifies CAS–ANSO as Type A, CSC as Type B and USTC fellowships as Type C. A timeline or age condition for one category should not be applied to another without its published notice.

Master’s and doctoral routes for 2027
Graduate degree applications are discipline-specific and may involve academic supervisor interests, research background and proof of language proficiency. USTC’s 2027 published CSC Type B master’s/doctoral window runs from 25 October 2026 to 20 January 2027.
The date should not be transferred automatically to other funding types: the university distinguishes ANSO Type A, CSC Type B and USTC Type C.
